Stewart L Beckford assumed duty as the 6th Commissioner, Jamaica Fire Brigade on December 28, 2018 after most recently serving as the Acting Deputy Commissioner incharged of the Operations Branch. He has held multiple command and staff positions in eight sections/departments and special assignments throughout the last 29 years.

He hails from the parish of Hanover and joined the Jamaica Fire Brigade –  September 01, 1996. He started his firefighting career at the Hanover Division- Lucea Fire Station. During his tenure he has served in various assignments and ranks across Divisions and parishes. He was appointed Senior Deputy Superintendent in charge of Operations of the Kingston and St. Andrew Division in May 2015

Deputy Commissioner Sean Martin, OIC of the Fire Safety, Prevention and Investigation, joined the St Thomas Division of the Jamaica Fire Brigade in 1997. Over the period July 1997 to March 2005, he served the St Thomas and Training division respectively in various positions and was transferred to Fire Prevention Headquarters. His most recent appointment was to the position of Deputy Commissioner in charge of Fire Safety,Prevention and Investigation.

Assistant Commissioner Hacker joined the Jamaica Fire Brigade in 1995. Over the years he has served with Operations (Kingston and St. Andrew and St James Division), the Communication Department and the Fire Prevention Division (St. James and Kingston and St. Andrew).

Assistant Commissioner Julian Lethaine Davis-Buckle hails from the central parish of Manchester in Jamaica. On her path to a career in teaching with her eyes on becoming a physical education practitioner, fate intervened and the opportunity to serve her country in another capacity – the Jamaica Fire Brigade presented itself. She persevered and on December 17, 1995 graduated and became an enlisted firefighter to the Jamaica Fire Brigade.

Andrew Russell Assistant Commissioner, Jamaica Fire Brigade | Officer In Charge(OIC) Area III

With over 17 years in the Jamaica Fire Brigade, Assistant Commissioner Andrew Russell took the helm as the officer in charge of Area III on June 3, 2019. Assistant Commissioner Russell became interested in the Fire Brigade right out of high school and became a Firefighter in the St. Elizabeth Division. He began his firefighting career at the Junction Fire Station on July 07, 2002.
