Deputy Commissioner Warren Malcolm hails from the Parish of Trelawny and is a proud product of the William Knibb Memorial High School; he joined the Jamaica Fire Brigade in 1990. Over the period 1995 to 2014 he has served in various positions, rapidly climbing up in the ranks, he was promoted to Assistant Commissioner- Officer in Charge of Area 3, acted as Deputy commissioner – in Charge of Operations in July to October of 2014, promoted to Deputy Commissioner in charge of Core Technical & Support Services within a year and acted as Commissioner for a period of three months.

Deputy Commissioner Malcolm has completed and achieved numerous professional qualifications throughout his career including: Emergency Medical Technician (MOH &UWI), Operational Command Course, Human Resource Management for Public Sector(MIND), Tourism Security Specialize Training Course-(The Secretariat for Inter-American Committee against Terrorism), Associate Degree – Public Sector Management (University of the West Indies),Management Development Programme (MIND),Post Graduate Diploma- Public Sector Senior Management Development Programme (MIND),International Divisional Command Course-(Fire Service College) –England, Master’s Degree in Business Administration- Majoring in Disaster Management (UCC) just to name a few. He strives to work through people with the aim of achieving organizational objectives. He’s heavily involved in his community and was named Vice president of the West Cumberland Citizen Association, and also a past member of the Kiwanis Club.
His interests include playing cricket, football, swimming, reading and socializing. His future endeavor is to learn at least one foreign language.
